Training for Dogs

A major keystone of our business has always been to provide professional dog training services to our pet dog clients.  As such, we have developed a trusted reputation across the globe as being a premier provider of dog obedience and behaviour modification services.  We offer affordable programs at our academy in Georgetown.

Our dog obedience and behaviour modification programs provide reliable, simple, and effective solutions to meet the needs of our clients. Problem solving and successful rehabilitation are our specialty and we often help dogs and owners that other trainers will not. Our trainers are dedicated to providing quality solutions to fit the needs of our clients and their dogs.  At the K-9 Training Academy, we understand how important your dog is in your life. We also understand how important it is to have a well-trained dog. Our trainers offer professional dog obedience training as well as dog obedience modification and we specialise in aggressive and “hard to train” dogs. We offer puppy training, basic and off leash dog obedience training as well as private dog obedience lessons for all breeds and all ages.

Basic Training Session (2 hours per Session) GY$8,700

On-Leash Dog Training

Our basic or on leash training package is a great program for dogs who have had no professional dog training previously. During our basic program, we will teach the dog to sit, down, stay, come, place, and to heel. Your dog may already know some or most of these commands from your previous training; however, we will teach them that they are not optional. Your dog will perform the commands even without treats and even under considerable distractions by proofing them throughout program. We also work on any issues you may be experiencing with your dog, such as, jumping on people, barging out the door, getting on furniture, counter surfing and pulling on the leash.

Advanced Training Session (2 hours per Session) GY$11,600

Off-Leash Dog Training

Our Advanced or Off Leash package works well for dogs who have previously been through our basic program or an equivalent. However, if you need to run both the basic and advanced course our Boot Camp is a perfect option for you. During our Advanced Dog Training Program, we will teach the dog to sit, down, stay, come, place, and to heel all completely off-leash.  Much like our basic training program, we ensure your dog will respond to commands even with distractions, by maintaining the dog’s focus through a variety of situations. If your dog has any issues such as jumping up, counter surfing, jumping on furniture, and pulling on the leash, these issues will be addressed in this program.

We recommend that, on average, a minimum of 7 x 2-hour sessions are taken to achieve the required standards.

Reservations can be made by contacting our office, by email or by making a deposit online. With most of our training programs, we offer free follow-up training for as long as you still own the dog.
