Dog and Owner Private Lessons

The K-9 Academy offers a variety of private lesson dog training programs in your home. With Private Lessons, our trainers come to your home once per week for about an hour. Private lesson dog training is a great way to get the training for your dog that you want as long as you have the time to spend with the dog to accomplish your goals. In each lesson we review the skills from the previous lesson and teach a new skill for the following week. With private lessons our experienced and professional dog trainers teach you how to train and work with your own dog. They will teach you how to successfully take your dog through all three phases of training to ensure that you have a reliable, well-rounded dog. However, with private lessons, you are required to do your “homework” throughout the week to make sure that you get the results that you are looking for. During the private lesson dog training our trainers will also answer any questions that you have about dog training or your dog’s behaviour as well as providing tips and advice about better training and living with your dog.

Basic Private Lesson (2 hours per Week x 6 Weeks) GY$76,200.00

On-Leash Dog Training at Home

We offer Basic (on-leash) Private Lesson dog training that meets once per week for six-weeks. In these lessons our professional and certified trainers will teach you how to train the sit, down, stay, come, heel and place commands on leash. We will also teach you how to stop problematic behaviour like jumping, barking, barging out the door, counter surfing and pulling on the leash. Again, we take you through all the phases of training, learning, correcting, proofing and maintenance phase to ensure that your dog will perform reliably every time. During these basic private lessons, we will work with your dog in your home, go for walks in your neighbourhood and teach you how to deal with the distractions of the environment in which you and your dog live. With our basic private lessons, we offer free follow-up training for the life of the dog.

Advanced Private Lesson (2 hours per Week x 7 Weeks) GY$109,200.00

Off-Leash Dog Training at Home

We offer Advanced (off-leash) Private Lesson dog training that is once per week for seven-weeks. In these lessons our trainers will teach you how to train the sit, down, stay, come, heel and place commands off leash for complete control. With this program, we will also teach you how to stop behaviours such as jumping, barking,barging out the door, counter surfing and pulling on the leash. With our advanced private lessons, we take you through all the phases of training, learning, correcting, proofing and maintenance phase to ensure that your dog will perform reliably every time. During these advanced private lessons, we will work with your dog in your home, go for walks in your neighbourhood and teach you how to deal with the distractions of the environment in which you and your dog live. With this program, we can also arrange to work with you and your dog at the local dog park and other places where you may commonly take them to ensure that they will perform appropriately everywhere. With our advanced private lessons, we offer free follow-up training for the life of the dog.

Behaviour Modification Private Lesson (2 hours per Week x 6 Weeks) GY$93,600.00

Solutions for Dog Behaviour Problems

We also offer Behaviour Modification Private Lesson dog training that is also once per week for six-weeks. Occasionally our Behaviour Modification Private Lesson dog training may last longer than six-weeks, if this is the case, trainers will continue training at no additional cost.  Our behaviour modification private lessons can deal with issues such as biting, fighting, dominance aggression, phobias, fear aggression, nuisance barking, house breaking, separation anxiety, neurotic and destructive behaviour. Our trainers have years of experience in rehabilitating these types of behaviours in a variety of breeds. These lessons are customized to the needs of the dog and client after our initial evaluation/ consultation.

With our behaviour modification private lessons, we offer free follow-up training for the life of the dog.
